Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Adele – there are hardly any artists from the rock-pop-sector KPS has not staged yet. The agency was founded in 1979 by Klaus-Peter Schulenberg (KPS). Since then KPS arranges concerts, musicals and shows in Bremen and Hamburg.
KPS Concertbüro stages club concerts like medium and big sized indoor concerts as well as mega shows taking place in soccer stadiums. Nearly all open air concerts in the Weserstadion in Bremen were organized by KPS Concertbüro. In Hamburg the last huge events were the Metallica shows as well as concerts of Herbert Grönemeyer, Depeche Mode or Bruce Springsteen. KPS Concertbüro- as the local organizer and partner of the tour management – organizes and coordinates the local promotion, the presales, the facilities of the halls and stadiums, the installation and dismounting of the stage, lighting and sound.
In the range of shows and musicals KPS staged the musical „Tabaluga“ in Hamburg and „Evita“ in Bremen, similarly the Cirque du Soleil with its various shows (Delirium, Alegria, Saltimbanco, Michael Jackson –The Immortal Tour and Varekai). Classical music is an inherent part of KPS since its foundation. For years KPS Concertbüro went along with the subscription-series of the Bremer Meisterkonzerte and the NDR symphony orchestra and organized artists like Anne-Sophie Mutter, Kurt Masur with the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, Martha Argerich and Lang Lang.
1998 KPS Concertbüro staged the Rolling Stones within the „Bridges to Babylon“-tour on the Trabrennbahn Hamburg-Bahrenfeld. One year later the final concert of the Westernhagen-tour toke place there as well. These two concerts with each case 90.000 visitors are the biggest single concerts in the history of the hanseatic city.
